先日、お客様のお付き合いで、東京大丸にあるグランドカステラに行ってきました。

The other day, I went to Grand Castella in Daimaru, Tokyo with a customer.

初めてグランドカステラに行ったのですが、田舎者の私にはとてもオシャレな感じです。
カステラは文明堂じゃないの？って思っていたので、ケースに並んでいるものを見た瞬間に、カステラって言うよりも、蒸しパンじゃね？
そう見えたのは私だけでしょうか・・・

お客様は購入するものは決めていたらしく、サクサクと買い物を済ませたのですが、付き合ってもらったから買ってあげるよと言われて、自分が時間を取らせてしまった形になりました。
種類は4種類あって悩みどころです。
一つ目はスタンダードなプレーン。
The customer seemed to have decided what to buy, and I finished shopping crisply, but I was told that I would buy it because I was dating, and it took me a long time.

二つ目はチーズ。
濃厚でコクがあって、好みが分かれるようです。

三つ目はハーフ。
プレーンとチーズの良いとこ取り、強いて言えば優柔不断な方はこちらです。
店員のお兄さんから、そうは言われてませんがｗ

そして四つ目は期間限定のアールグレイ。
口の中に入れて、噛むたびに香り際立つとのことでした。
期間限定なので今だけですよアピールがビシビシと感じましたｗ

ここは普通にプレーンに行くべきか、チーズ好きな息子に合わせるか、良いとこ取りのハーフにするか、期間限定物にするか悩みましたが、お客様はアールグレイが目的で来ていたので、同じアールグレイを買っていただくことにしました。
本音は良いとこ取りも、めちゃ悩みました。
I was wondering if I should go to plain here normally, to match my son who likes cheese, to make it a good half, or to make it for a limited time, but since the customer came for Earl Gray. , I decided to buy the same Earl Gray tea.
I was really worried about how good the real intention was.

お客様にお礼を言って、家路につきます。
子供にカステラのお土産があることを伝えるとウッキウキです。
さっそく開けて、カステラを見た息子の一撃の一言「これ何？」
言いたいことはわかります。
蒸しパンのようで蒸しパンじゃない。

第一印象は疑問から始まったが、口に入れてしまえば「パパ美味しいよ」の一言があるはず。
期待を背に早速切って、実食‼
息子「パパ苦いからいらない」
パパ「今度チーズ味を買ってくるね・・・」
ママ「私食べるから置いておいて」

息子には不評でしたが、ママにはとても好評であっという間に食べきってました。
私も食べましたが、大人の味って感じでとてもおいしかったです。
次は息子と食べたいので、良いとこ取りのハーフを買って帰ろうと思います。
