今日のことわざは「七転び八起き」にしたいと思います。
きちんと理解すると、ことわざは面白いですね。

例・使い方

ことわざ豆知識　七転び八起きのだるま
縁起物のだるまは、禅宗の僧侶・達磨大師（だるまだいし）が座禅を組む姿を表したものです。
別名「起き上り小法師（おきあがりこぼし）」とも呼ばれ、七転び八起きの不屈の精神を表していると言われます。
ところで、転ぶ回数と起き上る回数は同じはずですが、起き上る回数が1回多いのはなぜでしょうか。
これは、生まれたばかりの赤ん坊は寝転がっているから。転ぶことから始まるのではなく、起き上ることから始まるからだと言われています。
