皆さんこんにちは。今日はことわざ第3弾です。

今日のことわざは「棚からぼた餅」です。
面白いことわざだなと思いました。

由来
口を開けて寝ていたら、そこへちょうど棚から落ちてきたぼた餅が口の中に入ったことから。
意味
思いがけない幸運が舞い込んでくることのたとえ。
例・使い方
大事なお客様用に高級スイーツを用意していた母。
そのお客様が急に来られなくなったので、私が食べることになった。
まさに棚からぼた餅でラッキー。
ぼた餅とは
うるちと餅米を混ぜて炊いたものを俵状に丸め、あんこやきなこなどをまぶした和菓子。
おはぎとも言われ、春と秋のお彼岸には欠かせないお供えものでもあります。
ちなみに感じでは「牡丹餅」と書きます。
